Sunday services consist of a weekly Bible Lesson read by two individual members of the Society. This same Bible Lesson is read at Christian Science church services around the world, and consists of passages from the King James version of the Bible with correlative passages from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Wednesday services consist of readings selected and read by an individual Christian Scientist, followed by testimonies from the congregation sharing healings and experiences related to their study and practice of Christian Science.

Each service lasts an hour and includes inspirational musical selections and three hymns that are sung together as a congregation.

All are welcome.

About
About

The Christian Science Society of Ellsworth, Maine, is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. We conduct Christian Science church services in-person at our location in Ellsworth and via free conference call. All are welcome and can expect an atmosphere of love, light, grace, thoughtfulness, and healing.

Christian Science is a Bible-based religion rooted in the teachings of Christ Jesus. Founded by Mary Baker Eddy, the Mother Church was first organized in 1879 to "commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing."

Generations of Christian Scientists have found that, as in Jesus' time, a clearer understanding of God — as Love, Mind, Truth, Life, Soul, Spirit, Principle — can heal any challenge, physical or metaphysical.
